Today I educated myself on the work of Nadine Burke Harris, MD, who is bringing new awareness of the correlation between childhood trauma and health conditions that begin in childhood and continue into adulthood. I also share my wonderings about how different cultures define “childhood trauma” and how shame and secrecy still form obstacles to reporting trauma.
